Martin Keown has expressed his worry for England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford after his Everton side recorded a 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur on the last day of the Premier League season.

Marco Silva's side were winning the contest 2-1 before Pickford mistake allowed Christian Eriksen to net the equalising goal and the point for his team.

Throughout the season, Pickford has come under scrutiny for certain performances which have cost his team, most notably against Liverpool and Newcastle.

Speaking to Final Score on BBC One (12/05/2019 at 4:35 pm), former Arsenal man Keown was critical of Pickford's handling of Spurs' goal and stated that he needs to eradicate his mistakes.

"I am worried about my England goalkeeper," Keown told Final Score. "Pickford takes a step to the right and it's great a finish by Eriksen.

"He has got to learn from these mistakes. He panics. [But] Eriksen, great finish and he guides it into the corner."

Jordan Pickford of Everton gives his team instructions during the Premier League match between Fulham FC and Everton FC at Craven Cottage on April 13, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

After those mistakes at Anfield and at St James' Park, Pickford's form picked up and it looked like he had learnt from his earlier errors.

But there will be some supporters that will be questioning his ability to keep his cool in those situations as he will now be preparing for England's Nation League encounters next month.

During these last 18 months, for both club and country, Pickford has produced the goods and been a success for Everton and England, but he still has some way to go to get to that next level.
