The Liverpool ace is a reported transfer target for Barcelona.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona want to sign Liverpool ace Andy Robertson this summer, as they look for a long-term replacement for Jordi Alba.

The Spaniard is on the wrong side of 30, and considering his high octane playing style, he probably hasn’t got too many years left playing at the very highest level.

And Reds full-back Robertson would be just the ticket.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo claims that Barca want to sign the Liverpool star, 25, this summer, but they will have to pay in excess of €50 million (£43.2 million) in order to obtain his services.

The Merseyside outfit signed Robertson from Hull City in the summer of 2017 for just £8 million, and he has since gone on to become one of Europe’s best attacking left-backs.

The Scotland international has become such an integral part of the Liverpool team that selling him to a European superpower would surely be unthinkable.

Money talks, however, and if Barca offer somewhere in excess of £43 million, it will be interesting to see how Liverpool respond.
