According to The Star, Wednesday are interested in singing the versatile 25-year-old, who played under Owls boss Steve Bruce at Hull City.
Odubajo spent a season back at Brentford, where he played prior to his £3.5 million move to Hull.
But despite playing 30 times for the Bees after two years sidelined through injury, the former England Under-20 International failed to have his 12-month extension option triggered.
And those of a Sheffield Wednesday persuasion should be encouraged by the following reactions, should Odubajo end up at Hillsborough.
WTF?? Moses has been class— Rob Rankin (@robrankin) May 7, 2019
letting Moses go? good joke..... now where’s the real released list— gee (@GeeeBFC) May 7, 2019
I'm gutted about Moses. He's been brilliant on his return.— Chi Bee (@chichesterbee) May 7, 2019
Thank you @Moses_28 you have been fantastic. good luck in your next chapter.
Really bad decision to let Moses go.Also whilst we need to blood some of the B team players,we need to bring in experienced players too.Losing Yoann is a blow as he was class.I hope we are going to invest some of the money we got for Chris Mepham & Nico Yennaris— Rosiesdad (@redheadbraceman) May 7, 2019
@Moses_28 gutted.. you were a pleasure to watch and I thought a vital player . good luck in whatever you do.— Lorraine Allison (@LollyAllison101) May 7, 2019
Moses > Dalsgaard— samjacques (@_samjacques) May 7, 2019
Can’t believe you’re letting @Moses_28 and @BarbetYoann go!! Quality players who bring great attitude and work rate to the team. Good luck to them all, but I think the squad will be a lot poorer without Moses and Yoann— jenny (@JennyMolloy74) May 7, 2019
Sad about Moses— dinogatto (@dinogatto3) May 7, 2019
Wow some serious wages saved there personally would’ve kept @Moses_28 all day long, been a quality addition this season. Lots of work for the DOF’s in the coming months.......— Michael Caller (@MichaelCaller6) May 7, 2019
Shame about Odubajo going. Thought he was fantastic this season!— NinjaStuart (@NinjaStuart) May 7, 2019
Why Odubajo!? How....— Oren (@MajesticMaupay) May 7, 2019
No idea why Moses has to go. Are we signing Trent Alexander-Arnold as a replacement?! Baffled.— Nigel Davison (@Nige150) May 8, 2019
Strange one letting Moses go. Had a good season and surprised the option wasn’t taken up.— parsley (@parsley99815009) May 8, 2019
Sheffield Wednesday have already seen one of their full-backs, Achraf Lazaar, leave at the end of his loan spell, while another could follow if Liam Palmer fails to renew his contract.
Odubajo, who began life as a winger at Leyton Orient, can play on either side despite being predominantly right-footed.
The 25-year-old has played 117 times at Championship level, scoring or making 11 goals, and was promoted from the division with Bruce at Hull.
Would the former Hull City and Brentford defender be a good addition for Sheffield Wednesday?
