HITC Sport understands Barnsley, Sunderland and Fleetwood are chasing Deji Oshilaja on a free transfer.

Barnsley, Sunderland and Fleetwood are battling it out to sign AFC Wimbledon defender Deji Oshilaja on a free transfer this summer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Oshilaja was the subject of offers last summer and during the January transfer window, but AFC Wimbledon managed to resist the bids to keep hold of their star defender.
However, Oshilaja looks set to leave this summer when his contract expires next month.
The 25-year-old made 32 appearances in all competitions this season for AFC Wimbledon and he played a key role in the club’s successful fight against relegation from League One.

Oshilaja’s impressive displays for AFC Wimbledon have won him a lot of admirers in the Football League and his availability on a free transfer makes him an even more attractive proposition for his suitors.
Newly-promoted Barnsley have shown an interest in Oshilaja as they look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of life back in the Championship next season.
Sunderland and Fleetwood are also in the race for Oshilaja’s signature and have made their interest known as the player weighs up his options before deciding next where to continue his career.
