Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has stated that he understands the emotions Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino went through after he masterminded his team to the Champions League final.
Spurs were losing 3-0 on aggregate to Ajax with less than 45 minutes left on the clock before they produced a stunning fightback to book their place in the final.
Brazil forward Lucas Moura netted a stunning hat-trick to write his name in the history books and set-up a meeting with Liverpool next month.
Speaking to Sky Sports News (09/05/2019 at 2:20 pm), Bielsa stated that Pochettino's emotions after the game were 'special'.
"We were all full of emotions after the game," Bielsa told Sky Sports News. "And I can imagine what he [Pochettino] felt because as a head coach [I understand].
"I think it was a special emotion for him and a deep emotion for him. The game [against Ajax] was a party of football."
Previously, Pochettino has spoken in awe of Bielsa and what he has done for his career. The Argentine has described him as his 'second father', as quoted by the Daily Mail.
If Leeds can get their confidence back then Bielsa might be coming up against Pochettino next season. The Whites are three games away from England's top-flight.
On Saturday, they will take on Frank Lampard's Derby County in the first of their two-legged affair. A win for the Yorkshire club will give them a big advantage and chance to reach Wembley later on this month.
Nonetheless, Pochettino, who recently signed a five-year contract worth £42.5 million last May, as reported by The Telegraph, will surely get the support of Bielsa as he aims to guide Spurs to European glory.
