According to a report in The Mirror, Tottenham are looking at Van de Beek as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen.
It has been reported that Spurs have been told to pay £45 million if they want to secure the services of the 22-year-old Netherlands international midfielder.
Former Arsenal midfielder Frimpong was impressed with the performance of the youngster during Ajax’s defeat to Tottenham in the Champions League in Amsterdam on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old has suggested on Twitter that Van de Beek will be perfect as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales international is leaving Arsenal in the summer transfer window and will join Italian giants Juventus on a free.
