The Leeds United winger won’t play again this season.

Ezgjan Alioski may have played his final game for Leeds United this season, but injury does not appear to have dampened the Macedonian’s spirits.

According to Leeds Live, Alioski made an impromptu appearance at Pontus Jansson’s pre-Derby County press conference on Thursday afternoon.

And it is claimed the 27-year-old – who has acquired a reputation for being something of a livewire – failed disappoint those in attendance at Thorp Arch.

Alioski is described as having “press(ed) his face on the door window, doing his best to put Pontus off”, before “pok(ing) his head in the back of the room” to request: “One more question!”

Alioski had started all 44 of Leeds’ Championship fixtures – scoring or making 12 goals – before tearing his meniscus in the 2-0 defeat against Brentford at the end of April.

The 27-cap left-sider is expected to miss between six and eight weeks in total and should be fit for the start of pre-season training.

Earlier in April, Alioski was filmed inexplicably shaking the player’s tunnel ahead of Leeds’ 2-0 win against Preston North End.
