Middlesbrough fans are reacting to reports linking Sheffield United with Britt Assombalonga.
According to the Northern Echo, Sheffield United are one of the clubs set to make a move for Assombalonga's services.
And the newspaper claims Middlesbrough would have to consider offers - especially those north of the £15 million they paid for the striker two years ago - after failing to achieve promotion for the second season running.
Assombalonga has finished as Boro's top scorer in each of those, but hasn't always featured at the forefront of Tony Pulis's plans.
And some of a Middlesbrough persuasion would be happy to see the 26-year-old depart, albeit under certain conditions.

There’s plenty of room in the back of the car for him. He can sit next to Downing and play eye spy on the journey— Matt Lymer (@MattLymer76) 9 May 2019
I have literally just watched a highlight video of him hitting the corner flag with a one on one shot. Don't let Sheff Utd see that!— Hapkido Teesside (@HapkidoTeesside) 9 May 2019
Snap their hands off for what they offer. Britt has been woeful all season and hitting the corner flag in the one on one about sums up his skill level at hitting the target and scoring !!— joff hall (@joffa81) 9 May 2019
They’re not looking to take the Premiership seriously then? Shame.— Simon (@simoneinon) 9 May 2019

Others, though, are backing Assombalonga...
The guy gets 15 goals. Was in and out the squad. Played as a lone striker most of the time. He was never a problem, the tactics and the set up where.— Shaun Lee Robinson (@ShaunLeeRobins1) 9 May 2019
How many pts got from games that Britt did not play in?Would we be in the play offs if he started all games cos he would have scored more.— Michael Wear (@MichaelWear2) 9 May 2019
He’ll remember SG wanted to cash in on him. So I’d be like laters I’ll go and play for a club with some kind of ambitions to succeed.— UTFB. (@geoffreybashfo1) 9 May 2019
We would be stupid to let him go, we need to build around him and get an attacking manager in. Once this happens we will see him banging goals in every weekend— Josh_Symmonds (@MFCJoshSymmonds) 9 May 2019
Sheffield United finished runners-up in their second season back in the Championship, with strikers Billy Sharp (24 goals) and David McGoldrick (15) largely responsible for the Blades' success.
However, with only the transfer-listed Leon Clarke and Ched Evans as alternatives, Chris Wilder is expected to target reinforcements in the summer transfer window.
Should Middlesbrough cash in on Assombalonga?
