Ajax stars Matthijs De Ligt and Donny van de Beek have both expressed their disappointment after Tottenham Hotspur knocked them out of the Champions League last night.

Tottenham remarkably came back from 3-0 down on aggregate to beat Ajax yesterday in one of the most dramatic matches in Champions League history.

Spurs looked down and out at half-time in Amsterdam, but Mauricio Pochettino’s team showed great heart to make it through to the final.

Lucas Moura scored the winner for Spurs in the 96th minute to break Ajax hearts.

And both De Ligt and Van De Beek expressed their disappointment on Instagram earlier today.

De Ligt and Van De Beek have both been linked with moves to Tottenham in the past.

The Daily Express report how Spurs have wanted De Ligt, but it seems that he will be heading to Barcelona.

Van De Beek, on the other hand, could still be moving to White Hart Lane in the near future.

The Daily Mail have suggested that Spurs are keen to sign the Ajax play-maker, who has looked brilliant in the Champions League this season.
