HITC Sport understands Hull City are interested in Ipswich Town winger Gwion Edwards this summer.

Hull City are ready to offer winger Gwion Edwards an escape route out of relegated Ipswich Town this summer as they look to bolster their attacking options, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Edwards was one of Ipswich’s shining lights this season in a disappointing campaign which saw them relegated from the Championship.

The skilful attacker scored six goals and created three assists in 33 Championship games this season following his arrival from Peterborough last summer.

Edwards’ impressive performances have brought him on the radar of a number of Championship clubs who are ready to test Ipswich’s resolve to hang onto the left-sided winger this summer.

Hull could be in the market for a new winger this summer as they face a battle to keep hold of star man Jarrod Bowen following his stunning campaign for the Tigers this term.

A number of Premier League clubs are waiting in the wings to move for Bowen and Hull are drawing up a potential list of replacements, which includes Edwards.

Ipswich would like to keep Edwards this summer as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking, but Hull are keeping tabs on the Welshman’s situation at Portman Road.
