Premier League bound Sheffield United are reportedly set to sell Samir Carruthers, Ched Evans, Lee Clarke and co during the summer transfer window.

Sheffield United have placed seven players on the transfer list after sealing their promotion to the Premier League, the club have confirmed.

The Blades will be playing in the top flight for the first time in 12 years next season after finishing second behind Norwich City in the Championship table.

But a number of players will not be given a chance in the first division if reports are to be believed with Sheffield United beginning the process of streamlining their squad ahead of what promises to be a frantic summer.

The club have stated that strikers Ched Evans and Lee Clarke (below), who have spent the last few months on loan at Fleetwood Town and Wigan Athletic, are up for sale.

Sheffield United will also listen to offers for Nathan Thomas, Samir Carruthers and Ben Heneghan. The trio have all found themselves out of favour under Wilder, being farmed out on loan to League One clubs during 2018/19.

31-year-old winger Ricky Holmes is expected to leave Bramall Lane too.

Holmes starred under Wilder at Northampton Town, but has made just five league appearances for Sheffield United after joining from Charlton Athletic in January 2018 and spent the club’s promotion winning campaign on loan at Gillingham and Oxford United.
