Yosuke Ideguchi has returned from injury, but the chances of saving his Leeds United career reportedly remain bleak.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Yosuke Ideguchi still has ‘no place’ in Leeds’ plans ahead of his potential return to Elland Road in the summer.

Ideguchi has had a forgettable spell since moving to Leeds during the 2018 January transfer window, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting that the Whites paid £500,000 for the Japan international.

The 22-year-old is yet to make a competitive appearance for Leeds. He joined Cultural Leonesa immediately after signing for the Championship promotion-chasers, and left again in the summer, this time heading to German side Greuther Furth.

He started brightly, but sustained an injury in September that he has only just returned from, so he may be looking to impress in the final moments of the season ahead of what looks set to be a critical summer in his career.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Greuther Furth have the option to make his loan deal permanent, but even if he does return to Leeds, it appears that he stands next to no chance of turning his fortunes around in England.

The report suggests that he still has ‘no place’ in Bielsa’s future plans.

It is no surprise that Ideguchi is looking set to leave the club without ever playing, especially as Leeds could still end the season having secured promotion to the Premier League.

It unfortunately, looks set to go down as a signing that has done no-one involved any favours whatsoever.
