The DLC for Mortal Kombat 11 was said to feature Evil Dead’s Ash Williams as one of its additional characters, but Bruce Campbell has killed this rumour.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out, and – unfortunately – things won’t be getting groovy as Bruce Campbell has said that Evil Dead’s Ash Williams isn’t one of the game’s DLC characters.

In addition to the Joker and Terminator, Ash Williams was said to be a part of Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack.

Sadly, this isn’t the case according to the Hollywood B-lister.

Mortal Kombat 11 DLC News – Things won’t be getting groovy

Bruce Campbell – the legend who made Ash Williams such an iconic character with The Evil Dead movies and the massively underrated Ash Vs. Evil Dead TV Series – has confirmed on Twitter that he is not joining the already extensive Mortal Kombat 11 roster.

Accompanied by a nostalgic and hilarious image of him performing a Fatality on the attractive speculation, Bruce Campbell tweeted “Consider this my finishing move against a certain internet rumour.”

Ashy Slashy as a DLC character was far-fetched, but his inclusion would’ve been so good. His quips could’ve given him the best and most memorable character intros, and his chainsaw Fatality could’ve been both funny and gross.

It’s a real shame he’s not joining the roster (unless he’s lying), but – hopefully – there’ll be good news about Mortal Kombat 11’s DLC fighters in the coming weeks and months.
