Leeds United are experiencing an injury crisis in Pearce's position.
Some Leeds United fans are about to be disappointed after Tom Pearce's return from Scunthorpe United.
Leeds are in the midst of an injury crisis in Pearce's position - left-back - ahead of their upcoming Championship play-off campaign.
Already without Barry Douglas for the remainder of the season, the Whites have also lost stand-ins Ezgjan Alioski and Leif Davis in recent weeks, forcing the winger Stuart Dallas to cover against Ipswich Town on Sunday.
And a message posted by Pearce on Twitter earlier (Tuesday) - in which he confirmed the end of his Scunthorpe loan spell - offered a ray of light to several of a Leeds persuasion.

Can Tom Pearce be available for the Playoffs?— Steven Scaife (@RoddersPudsey) 7 May 2019
We should have Pearce back now tho. I read somewhere he should be available for the play offs.— Mob(Cap)Mentality (@M_C_Mentality) 7 May 2019
Pearce, though, cannot play again until the start of next season, when his registration as a Scunthorpe player officially ends.
And the same rule applies to Leeds' other loaned-out players, including potential left-back options Laurens de Bock, Tyler Denton and Lewie Coyle.
Marcelo Bielsa's side travel to Derby County for the first of their semi-final ties on Saturday evening, before Wednesday's return leg at Elland Road.
Should Leeds have kept Pearce in January?
