Sony is hosting a State of Play event for the PlayStation 4 on May 9, and this might be when we get an update on The Last Of Us Part 2.

A recent rumour said that we’d receive an update on Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us Part 2 before E3 2019, and May 9 might be the date as that’s when Sony is hosting their second State of Play event for the PlayStation 4.

Per the official PlayStation blog, Sony is hosting State of Play on May 9 at 23:00 BST. The episode will be ten-minutes long, and it will feature an extended look at MediEvil and a new title.

Sony’s last State of Play event received a lukewarm reception (at best) due to Days Gone being the only AAA exclusive showcased.

It’s impossible to predict what Sony’s second episode will showcase besides MediEvil and this “new title” as the blog post merely states that updates and announcements will be made for other upcoming PS4 games.

While I wouldn’t bank on it happening, it’s slightly possible that Sony might provide an almost blink and you’ll miss it update about The Last Of Us Part 2.
