Lord Sugar reacts to Arsenal's slip-up, which effectively confirms Tottenham Hotspur's Champions League spot

Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur side are now three points clear of Arsenal with just one Premier League match left to play.

Lord Alan Sugar has thanked Chris Hughton for his role in helping Tottenham Hotspur claim a Champions League place.

Hughton’s Brighton & Hove Albion side picked up a point against Arsenal to effectively secure Tottenham’s place in the top four.

 

Spurs are now three points clear of Arsenal with a much better goal difference heading into the final day of the season.

Tottenham will now almost certainly have Champions League football to look forward to next season.

And Lord Sugar was quick to praise ex-Tottenham man Hughton for helping his old side out.

Brighton picked up their draw thanks to a goal from Glenn Murray from the penalty spot.

Tottenham will take on Everton on the final day of the season, while Arsenal face Burnley at Turf Moor.

Spurs also have the second leg of their Champions League clash against Ajax on Wednesday, which they can now put their full focus on.
