Wolves beat Fulham 1-0 on Saturday afternoon to all but tie up seventh place in the Premier League table, meaning they'll be in the Europa League qualifiers this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo's men have shown real ambition over the last two years or so, and getting into Europe would only boost their plans to bring exciting talent to Molineux.
Wolves have already signed loan striker Raul Jimenez permanently, but another front man could be arriving, as The Mirror claim AC Milan striker Silva is one of the early main targets.
Silva, 23, made his name with Porto after arriving at age 15, and had the best season of his career under Nuno at the Estadio do Dragao, smashing 21 goals in 44 games to earn his big move to Milan.
It hasn't quite worked out since though; Silva hit 10 goals in 40 games last season after his £32m move (ESPN) and was loaned out to Sevilla this term, where he has posted a similar record of 11 goals in 40 games.
Nuno has switched to a 3-4-1-2 system this season, and with no proven strikers outside of Diogo Jota and Jimenez, Silva would be able to come in and offer a superb third option whilst reuniting with Nuno.
Wolves fans won't exactly be surprised to hear that Silva's agent is Jorge Mendes, and having already brought a host of talented Portuguese players to Molineux, it wouldn't be a shock to see him take Silva there either.
