Moritz Volz will reportedly leave Arsenal for RB Leipzig at the end of the season.

According to The Times, Moritz Volz will leave Arsenal at the end of the season and will take up a role at German club RB Leipzig.

Volz is working as Arsenal’s chief German scout at the moment, and it has been reported that the 36-year-old will leave the Gunners to become a first-team coach at Leipzig.

 

The former Arsenal and Fulham right-back has been a scout for the Gunners for four years, according to the report, which also claims that he is eager to move into coaching.

Champions League hopes

Both Arsenal and Leipzig are aiming to clinch their respective places in the Champions League next season.

The Gunners are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 66 points from 36 matches, just two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

As for Leipzig, Ralf Rangnick’s side are currently third in the Bundesliga table with 65 points from 32 matches and could finish second - they are guranteed a place in the Champions League next season.

Rangnick’s team are four points behind second-placed Borussia Dortmund, who have played 31 games.
