Sony could make up for not being at E3 2019 by providing an update on The Last Of Us Part 2 before the event.
Naughty Dog and Sony won’t be at E3 2019, but an update for The Last Of Us Part 2 might be provided before the gaming industry’s biggest showcase.
Sony announced a while back that they are skipping E3 this year because there wouldn’t be anything new for them to show.
They will return to the event in the future, but for this year Square Enix has pinched their usual time slot.
PlayStation’s absence will be noticeable, but gamers should still look forward to this year’s E3 as Cyberpunk 2077 and Dying Light 2 will be both be present, and – per usual – there should be some surprise announcements and reveals.
Plus, updates for The Last Of Us Part 2 and Death Stranding might be provided before the event, meaning no one should be disappointed by the exclusion of PlayStation 4 only titles.

[Rumour] The Last Of Us Part 2 is getting an update before E3
At the Tribeca Film Festival, video game auteur Hideo Kojima teased that his newest enigma, Death Stranding, might be shown off in about a month or so.
The master at toying with the video games community then possibly teased the arrival of a new trailer on Twitter.
As for The Last Of Us Part 2, the game’s subreddit noticed on ResetEra that Aokiji (an insider who leaked the existence of Sony's State Of Play internet show) has said that Sony will provide an update before E3.
Aokiji doesn’t mention a date, but I’d personally be very surprised if Naughty Dog didn’t unveil something new about the game before June 9.
Because this needs to be said, you should – of course – treat this as a rumour rather than anything concrete. I do believe The Last Of Us Part 2 will be shown off soon and released this year, but nothing is official until Sony says so.
