Grand Theft Auto 6 was recently suggested to be in development thanks to a former Rockstar Games employee's resume, and now there are rumours that it’ll take place in Vice City, San Andreas, and Liberty City.
According to a deleted Pastebin post that was copied to Dexterto (via Newsweek), Grand Theft Auto 6 will – unsurprisingly – only be available on next-gen consoles due to the PlayStation 4’s “memory restrictions.”
Apparently, the unannounced installment will take place mainly between Liberty City and Vice City, with there also being missions in areas of San Andreas such as Blaine County.
As if this doesn’t sound massive enough, the leak further alleges that new towns will be added through updates post-launch.

- Rockstar is developing GTA 6 and other “Unannounced Games"
- Rockstar Games are almost definitely casting for Bully 2
In addition to talking about the humongous open-world, the leak also mentions details about the game’s narrative.
The post claims that Grand Theft Auto 6 “will make you a kind of a drug lord. You will start as a small time guy in Liberty City doing odd chores and small-time thefts and eventually work your way to Vice City, where you will join a famous gang.”
“You will be tasked to look after business in Liberty City until you are brought back to Vice City and soon become the drug lord,” the post continues.
The leaker also claims that Grand Theft Auto 6 will incorporate Red Dead Redemption 2’s dialogue options for greeting or provoking NPCs.
You should – of course – treat these details as rumours rather than anything concrete as nothing is official until Rockstar says so..
