Celtic haven’t appointed Neil Lennon as their new permanent manager yet, but he’s already out and about looking for new signings in the summer transfer window.

Interim boss Lennon is in the box seat for the job having kept Celtic moving along following Brendan Rodgers’ exit in February, and recruitment plans are being made.

Lennon was spotted at Paris FC v Valenciennes in France’s second tier last week, prompting The Scottish Sun to claim a £4.5million move for Paris striker Silas Wamangituka was on the cards – only for Lennon to tell the Daily Record that it wasn’t Wamangituka he was watching.

Celtic fans will be left wondering just who Lennon was watching then, and left back Romain Perraud makes perfect sense as a top Bhoys target this summer.

Perraud, 21, has spent this season out on loan at Paris from Nice, earning valuable experience having racked up 29 league appearances and five goals this season.

Celtic need another left back to challenge with Kieran Tierney, as Emilio Izaguirre is set to move on when his contract ends this summer, and Perraud fits the bill.

The Frenchman would be able to come in and offer great cover, whilst having huge potential to eventually step in and play regularly for the Bhoys if Tierney ends up moving on to the Premier League.

Perraud is great going forward, and that’s summed up by his five goals. The videos of each goal are below, showcasing his stunning long-range goals and free kicks, and if Wamangituka isn’t on the Celtic radar, it must be Perraud that Celtic go for.
