According to Tutto Mercato Web, West Ham United are interested in Stephan El Shaarawy and he is exactly the sort of player who could thrive at the London Stadium.

West Ham have had a tendency to sign enigmatic characters and get the very best out of them.

Paulo Di Canio, Dimitri Payet and Marko Arnautovic have all shown excellent form during their time with the Hammers.

 

And El Shaarawy would have the potential to become a cult hero at West Ham too, if he was to join.

The Italian winger is blessed with so much skill, that he can be a real threat to defences.

El Shaarawy may have weaknesses, in the sense that he does not offer much defensively and he is very lightweight, but his ability to get supporters off their seats makes him very exciting to watch.

And El Shaarawy could really thrive if he was to sign for West Ham, if history is anything to go by.
