Dara O’Shea is reportedly wanted by Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, having shone on loan at Exeter City from West Bromwich Albion.
Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are interested in signing the highly-rated West Bromwich Albion defender Dara O’Shea, according to The Mail.
The Dublin-born 20-year-old is yet to make his debut for The Baggies but he has showcased his fine potential during a loan spell at League Two outfit Exeter City this season.
O’Shea has played 29 games for The Grecians, who are on course to qualify for the play-offs with just one game remaining. And manager Matt Taylor described the youngster as ‘exceptional’ in January, claiming that he has the talent to reach the very top of the game (BBC).
And his outstanding performances at St James’ Park have apparently caught the eye of Premier League duo Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, according to The Mail.
Bournemouth apparently believe that O’Shea could follow in the footsteps of David Brooks, who joined from Sheffield United last summer and was nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award.
The likes of Chris Mepham and Callum Wilson have also shone at the Vitality Stadium after being snapped up from Football League clubs.
Though Eddie Howe’s side will have to fight off competition from Crystal Palace.
