West Ham United beat Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United produced a superb performance on Saturday afternoon, beating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 away from home.

The Hammers made the short trip to take on their London rivals having taken just one point in their previous four games, meaning few were giving West Ham a chance.

However, West Ham frustrated Tottenham throughout and simply wouldn’t break, before Michail Antonio pounced to score the only goal of the game.

West Ham kept a clean sheet, and became the first away team to score at Tottenham’s new stadium, as well as being the first away team to win there too.

Manuel Pellegrini will hope to use this win to spark a great end to the season, even if qualification for the Europa League is looking unlikely.

One of the West Ham players who really impressed was captain Mark Noble, as he stepped up with a relentless derby day performance in the middle of Pellegrini’s midfield.

After the game, ex-West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison took to Twitter to send Noble a message, praising him as ‘quality’ whilst celebrating a win over Spurs in somewhat sweary fashion…
