Liverpool are a point behind Manchester City.

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given his take on Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season ahead of Manchester City this season on beIN SPORTS.

Wenger has suggested that City could clinch the Premier League title with one round of matches to spare.

The Frenchman made the comments follow the Citizens’ narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the league on Sunday afternoon.

The result means that Pep Guardiola’s side are now a point clear of second-placed Liverpool at the top of the league table.

City’s final two league fixtures are against Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium and against Brighton and Hove Albion away from home.

As for Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp’s side will face Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park and against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.

Former Arsenal manager Wenger has suggested that Liverpool will find it tough to win against Rafael Benitez’s Newcastle, and that defending champions City could clinch the league title next weekend.

Wenger said on beIN SPORTS: “There’s still hope, but they go to Newcastle, and Newcastle is not an easy place for Liverpool. It will be dangerous.

"I am scared for Liverpool that even with one game to go, Man City could already have won the championship in their next game.”
