Rangers youngster was on the scoresheet.

Rangers youngster Dapo Mebude has been making a real name for himself over the past year.

Mebude scored last night in Rangers’ win over Celtic in the Scottish Youth Cup final.

His strike in the 3-2 win was sandwiched between efforts from Ciaran Dickson and Nathan Young-Coombes.

The 17-year-old striker has stepped up to the Rangers under-20s team this season and he has even been called up to train with Steven Gerrard’s first team.

His performance and goal last night was another box ticked, with Mebude showing he has the composure to rise to the big occasion.

His calm temperament and well taken goal was a further sign Rangers can one day trust him with a first team chance.

He is doing everything to ensure that happens sooner rather than later.

Here is a look at how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to Mebude’s performance…
