Tottenham Hotspur fans are even more keen for Ruben Neves to sign now, after his starring role for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Arsenal last night.

Wolves did Tottenham a major favour yesterday by beating Arsenal 3-1, and Neves curled in a brilliant free kick in the contest.

The result severely damaged Unai Emery’s side’s top four chances, as they are now four points behind Tottenham with just three games left.

And Spurs fans are especially eager for Neves to join them from Wolves in the summer now.

Neves would unquestionably be an excellent addition to Tottenham’s squad, but he would surely cost more than Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been willing to pay before.

Wolves are financially strong and have no reason to sell one of their key players.

It was suggested last summer that Wolves would demand £60 million for Neves by the Daily Mirror, and his value may even have risen since then.

Spurs are thought to be on the look out for central midfielders, but whether Neves will eventually emerge as a target remains to be seen.
