Three Canaries players made the cut but some fans feel Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish shouldn’t be in there.

Three of Norwich City’s players have been recognised for their efforts this season by being named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year for the 2018-19 campaign.

Teemu Pukki, currently the league’s top scorer with 28 goals, is named up front alongside Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp and Aston Villa’s Tammy Abraham.

Meanwhile, full-backs Jamal Lewis and Max Aarons are named in the back line along with the Leeds United centre-back pairing of Liam Cooper and Pontus Jansson.

Elsewhere, the midfield is composed of Sheffield United’s Oliver Norwood, Leeds United’s Pablo Hernandez, and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, while Middlesbrough goalkeeper Darren Randolph completes the XI.

Here is how some of the Canaries faithful reacted on Twitter to the PFA team selection, with a couple wondering why Emiliano Buendia missed the cut and also why Grealish made it in their star’s place:

Norwich currently sit top of the Championship table with 88 points from 44 games, with second-placed Sheff Utd three points behind and Leeds six adrift of Daniel Farke’s side.

Up next for the Canaries is the game against Blackburn Rovers at Carrow Road on Saturday night, before the final regular fixture sees the East Anglians head to Aston Villa on Sunday 5 May.
