2016 Premier League winner Fuchs has not hidden his desure to play in America before the end of his career.
The Austrian international arrived at the King Power Stadium on a free transfer from Schalke in 2015 and he was celebrating a shock Premier League title a year later, the left-back playing a key role as Claudio Ranieri’s side stunned the world.
But while Fuchs remains a hugely popular player at Leicester, and could yet win their Goal of the Season award with a stunning volley against Fleetwood Town in the EFL Cup, he has made just two Premier League starts all season thanks to the rise of Ben Chilwell.
And with his contract expiring in July, the Mercury claims that the 33-year-old’s time in the Midlands is coming to an end. He is expected to move to America on a free transfer.
Back in August, the affable Fuchs admitted to Goal that he wanted to make the journey across the Atlantic before it is too late and he could soon get his wish.
"I want to be part of the community. I want to play football over here. I’m not coming over as an old player looking for his last contract. I want to come over here and play as long as possible.”
