A leaked resume recently revealed that Rockstar Games is developing Grand Theft Auto 6, and now another has indicated that the studio is working on multiple “Unannounced Games” (cue the begging for Bully 2).
Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 was only released last October, but gamers have been eagerly awaiting a Bully 2 for over a decade.
Grand Theft Auto 6 being in development isn’t surprising to anyone considering how much money GTA 5 made on its own, yet the announcement of a Bully 2 would make gamers stupidly excited.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 - Epic Games store exclusive rumour is fake
- Days Gone file size is huge compared to other PlayStation 4 exclusives
- Uncharted 5 doesn't need Nathan Drake to be a success
Rockstar is developing GTA 6 and other “Unannounced Games”
Spotted by Power Up Gaming, another Rockstar Games' developer's resume has been found. The portfolio is Abinhav Raj Karanwal's, who - according to his resume - has been with the company since July 2016.
The resume says he is responsible for creating "visually accurate realistic animations", but more importantly it says he and Rockstar are working on "Unannounced Games for consoles".
Job listings back in January hinted at Rockstar making Grand Theft Auto 6 and Bully 2 for the next-generation of consoles, and this now appears even more likely.
While I don’t believe the “European developer” who says Grand Theft Auto 6 is releasing in 2020 as a one month exclusive for the PlayStation 5, the next installment will definitely be a next-gen title.
As for Bully 2, casting calls two months ago from Pinewood Studios strongly suggested it's in development. For Pete's sake, the listing was for a 13-17-year-old boy to play the part of a “friend” in a “toxic” relationship with a “bully” in a video game.
Of course, this is all speculation rather than concrete information, but Bully 2 being in development wouldn’t be shocking thanks to the fan demand and amount of rumours.
