Tottenham reportedly face a battle for Fenerbahce’s Eljif Elmas.

Fenerbahce midfielder Eljif Elmas may not be a household name just yet, but some major clubs are seemingly battling for his signature this summer.
Elmas, 19, emerged with Rabotnichki in his native Macedonia, and his impressive displays resulted in Fenerbahce taking a punt on him back in 2017.
A technically-gifted midfielder capable of playing centrally or as a number 10, Elmas has picked up two goals this season, including an equaliser against bitter rivals Galatasaray earlier this month.
Elmas already has 10 caps for Macedonia, and it seems that his performances in Turkey have sparked major interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Last week, Super Haber in Turkey reported that Tottenham are edging towards a deal for Elmas, with a €20million (£17million) move believed to be in the pipeline.
However, FC Inter News now claim that Inter Milan are preparing a rival offer, and it would involve sending veteran defender Miranda to Fenerbahce as a replacement for Martin Skrtel.

Landing an experienced centre back to immediately replace Skrtel may well be appealing to Fenerbahce, but they must now decide whether the swap deal is more valuable to them than Tottenham’s straight cash.
Spurs and Inter went head-to-head in the Champions League earlier this season, and with Elmas allegedly wanted by both clubs, they look set to do battle once again this summer as the playmaker gears up for a big move.
