The big Swede didn't cover himself in glory for Leeds United today.
Leeds United fans on Twitter are taking aim at Pontus Jansson.
The Whites went to Brentford this evening knowing that victory was of paramount importance after Sheffield United moved three points clear in second spot by winning 3-0 at Hull City earlier today.
But Leeds gave themselves an uphill task when Neal Maupay opened the scoring on the stroke of half time.
Marcelo Bielsa's side came out strong for the second half but a couple of missed chances later and the Bees were 2-0 ahead on 62 minutes through Sergi Canos.
Questionable for both goals, Jansson was substituted two minutes later when Bielsa swapped him for winger Jack Clarke.
Jansson has been a hugely popular figure among United fans since joining in 2016, but many of them weren't happy with the Sweden centre-back today.
Jansson's positioning has been awful last 2 games.— Danny (@DannyRLUFC) April 22, 2019
Jansson loves giving it the big 'in too, but the two biggest games of the season he hasn't turned up. #LUFC— Adam (@AdamJones1995) April 22, 2019

Very very poor from Jansson for their goal, but Casilla doesn’t cover himself in glory either, makes their strikers mind up for him. #LUFC— Ben Smith (@BenSmith_7) April 22, 2019
Casilla's positioning there is awful. Jansson asleep. Devastated #lufc— Kyle Graham (@KTG_1990) April 22, 2019
Jansson been awful, might as well go for it now— Hashim Saifuddin (@atlas_hashim) April 22, 2019
So bad from Jansson on that goal— Caped Baldy (@9UBALA) April 22, 2019
Bielsa's side looked devoid of any creativity and struggled to get back into the game.
Leeds are now three points behind second-placed Sheffield United - who have superior goal difference - with two Championship games to play. If the Elland Road club are returning to the Premier League, it seems increasingly likely that it'll have to be through the playoffs.
