The 23-year-old won't play for the Hoops again this season, but will he ever make another senior appearance period?

The Scotland international hasn't proven a success at Parkhead and, having been linked with a move away in January, it's very possible that he could move on this summer.

Celtic will definitely need centre-backs this summer, with Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic set to leave, but Hendry is nowhere near their level and therefore it's unlikely that he'll be called up to replace one of them by whoever Brendan Rodgers's long-term successor is.

He is by no means a bad defender, but his confidence has been shot for most of this season and that's probably why he has made one first-team appearance since October - and none since Lennon came in on a provisional basis.

Hendry has potential, but it looks increasingly like he will have to fulfill it elsewhere.
