Leeds United, Norwich City and Sheffield United are the three teams aiming to win automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.

With just four rounds of matches left in the Championship this campaign, the fight for the two automatic promotion spots is hotting up.

Norwich are at the top of the league table at the moment with 86 points from 42 matches, four points clear of second-placed Leeds.

Chris Wilder’s United currently find themselves third in the standings with 79 points from 42 matches.

Daniel Farke’s side have been arguably the best team in the Championship this season, and it will be a massive surprise if the Canaries slip up in the final weeks of the campaign.

As for Leeds, Marcelo Bielsa’s side have a three-point advantage over their Yorkshire rivals and will be confident of getting the job done.

Former West Bromwich Albion manager Darren Moore has given his take on the three teams, and has outlined the similarity between Yorkshire rivals Leeds and United.

Moore said on the EFL Matters show on Sky Sports Football on Thursday evening (7pm, April 18, 2019): “Daniel has shown great efficiency to his team, Marcelo’s team has a relentless pursuit and they ask questions in every single match. The players are well drilled, they know exactly what’s expected.

“They and Sheffield United kind of similar play, kind of the same roles. All it means that is that midfielder Phillips drops in and creates a three, whereas Chris might start with three defenders, but the rotation that he brings is absolutely superb.”
