Ian Wright reacts on Twitter to Tottenham Hotspur's victory

Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur side made it through on away goals in the Champions League.

Ian Wright has admitted on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur have done magnificently to make it through in the Champions League.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side managed to make it through on away goals against Manchester City, after one of the most dramatic nights of football in the competition ever yesterday.


Spurs lost 4-3 at the Etihad Stadium, but made it through on aggregate.

Tottenham thought they had gone out when Raheem Sterling tucked home late on, but a VAR review showed that Sergio Aguero was offside, and the goal was chalked off.

Tottenham then somehow managed to hold on through injury time, as City pressed to score a decisive goal.

The celebrations at full-time were wild, with the whole of the Tottenham team heading over to their supporters.

And even Wright had to admit that Spurs had done brilliantly to knock out City.
