Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur will meet in the semi-finals of the Champions League in what is expected to be a mouthwatering tie.

Ajax have stated on Twitter that they are looking forward to reuniting with Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Christain Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez after Tottenham knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League.
All four players are products of the famous Dutch giant’s academy and they will be returning to where it all started for them after Spurs booked their place in the semi-finals of Europe’s biggest club competition on Wednesday night.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will now meet Ajax in the last four, who have impressed one and all with their stunning performances this season which has seen them knock out Real Madrid and Juventus.
Nonetheless, Ajax were seemingly looking forward to the match and coming up against their former players as they posted these messages on their official Twitter account:
Defensive trio Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Sanchez have had huge success at Spurs, especially the senior duo, as the latter will be looking to fill their boots down the line.
As for Eriksen, he is regarded as one of the best playmakers in Europe and he will be looking to work his magic in both legs and help his side progress.

There is no doubt that the contest will be a tactical battle and one where some of the best talents in Europe will be on display, not forgetting the managers.
It is a big moment and a big match for both sides because one of them has a huge opportunity of reaching the final of the Champions League.
