Donny van de Beek shone for Ajax as they beat Juventus 2-1 in the Champions League quarter-final last night, and some Tottenham fans took to Twitter in response to the Dutchman's performance.

Spurs were linked with a move for the 21-year-old in January, with Ajax reportedly willing to sell the midfielder for just €20 million (£17.3 million) according to French publication L'Equipe, but his value has surely sky rocketed after stunning recent displays against Real Madrid and Juventus in the Champions League.

Tottenham will be desperate to bolster their central midfield ranks in the summer, having lost Mousa Dembele in January, and the Ajax ace could be just the ticket.

He was quite simply sensational against Juve last night, displaying maturity that defies his tender years and quality that can be matched by few.
