Sheffield Wednesday travel to Norwich City on Friday evening.
Fans of rival clubs are mocking Sheffield Wednesday after the Owls returned part of their allocation for Friday’s trip to Norwich City.
The game, which Wednesday realistically must win if they are to achieve a play-off finish this season, was initially scheduled to kick off at 3pm but has been pushed back to 7:45 for television coverage.
It means that any Owls supporters hoping to return to Sheffield by train can no longer do so until the following morning – although, impressively, the Yorkshire side have still managed to sell around 1,500 tickets.
That is perhaps no surprise, given that Sheffield Wednesday – despite having spent most of the campaign in the Championship’s bottom half – boast an average away attendance that is among the top few in the division.
And their failure to sell out on this occasion has proved something of a talking point on Twitter…

Norwich will be promoted on Friday if they win and Sheffield Wednesday’s city rivals, Sheffield United, lose at hom to Nottingham Forest.
