The Evening Times reports that talks over Hastie have started up again after Rangers previously grew frustrated during their previous discussions with the youngster.
The winger is out of contract at the end of the season, as is Stewart, who, according to the Evening Times, is now 'on the verge' of sealing a move to Ibrox after spending the year on loan with Premiership rivals Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.
Souttar however, looks set to be the most difficult of the trio to sign. The report suggests that Hearts are set to want around £2 million for the 22-year-old.
The report has largely divided supporters on social media. Of the trio, Souttar seems to be the most popular target amongst the fans. He has enjoyed a very good season with Craig Levein's men, and Rangers' defence looks set to need bolstering during the coming months.
Hastie is also a fairly popular target. His record since the turn of the year has been outstanding, and plenty of fans believe that he has a lot of potential, so some are pleased that the club appear to have revived talks.
But the move for Stewart has largely been questioned and criticised by the Ibrox faithful. His form since joining the Dons has been incredibly underwhelming, and the fans are not convinced that he would be a good signing - even on a free transfer.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the report...
Hastie only for me ...don’t rate the other two in the slightest !! Hopefully just paper talk— AndrewTheBruce (@brucedaterrible) April 16, 2019
Hastie & Souttar would be good signings. Stewart unsure about.. doubt he’d get much game time. I would imagine quite a few players will be out the door in the summer so makes sense to try and get improvement on those leaving. ⚪️— Craig welsh (@welshy2686) April 16, 2019
None of them are the standard we require— stuart ferguson (@KINGBILLY1982) April 16, 2019
Greg Stewart is a complete farce of a signing of we make it it's laughable he had a good 5-6 months at Killie and hasn't kicked a ball since he's has 2 spells at sheep and done nothing this is a terrible and quite honestly embarrassing signing— Stiv1872 (@stiv1872) April 16, 2019
So underwhelming .— Rab McClymont (@mcc_rab) April 16, 2019
Think we need some big signings in there too but no complaints about those names.— Ranger Murdoch (@Murdoch4) April 16, 2019
No keen on any to be honest. Way below the level required— Craigo (@CLiddell92) April 16, 2019
Would be happy with these signings, souttar is a good defender and Stewart’s a good player also.— Russell keddie (@Kedman9) April 16, 2019
Fans need to be realistic with signings
Hastie has a lot of potential, something we are lacking is a right winger who can score goals/create and Hastie is just that.— Jordan (@Jordan_bluenose) April 16, 2019
Still young and raw but can see why the club want to sign him.
Hastie and Souttar are promising young players and if Stewart can find the form he had at Dundee/Killie he'll be a decent signing as well. Don't see why folk are acting like they're terrible players, it's only April it's no like we're going to make all our first team signings yet https://t.co/rM5yPt3ugd— Robbie (@Miller_R21) April 16, 2019
Not overly enamored by any of these bar Maybe Hastie. https://t.co/Ps6m1TeEgq— Jamie McInall (@JMcInall) April 16, 2019
Hastie and Soutar would make sense. Stewart isn't good enough in my opinion. Expect 4 atleast of better quality this summer!— The Famous (@TheFamousRFC) April 16, 2019
the likes of Hastie, Jones and Souttar I can see the logic behind. But apart from six good months at Killie and being a bear, Stewart, however small the outlay, seems like a waste of resources.— Jamie (@jamiecurrie89) April 16, 2019
