Gary Cahill has played 21 minutes of Premier League football under Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea and a move to West Ham United makes sense.

West Ham United are still interested in signing Gary Cahill this summer despite the defender’s lack of opportunities at Chelsea, as reported by the Mirror (17 April, page 59).
The former England international has been plying his trade at Stamford Bridge since a £7 million move from Bolton Wanderers in 2012, winning a host of trophies including two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League.
But Cahill has made just seven appearances since Maurizio Sarri took over in West London – and has played a grand total of 21 minutes of Premier League football under the former Napoli boss.
With his contract due to expire in the summer, it seems certain that Cahill will have a new club for the start of 2019/20, with the Mirror pointing out that he is desperate for regular first-team football as he enters the final few years of his career.

It is claimed that West Ham are still interested after expressing their interest in the January transfer window.
But it remains to be seen if they will match the £150,000 a week wages he currently takes home at Chelsea.
