Leeds United extended their advantage over Sheffield United at the weekend to go three points clear in second place.

This has triggered a realisation among the national media that this could finally be Leeds United's time to return to the Premier League.

Times writer Henry Winter wrote an editorial opining how much the Premier League misses Leeds and needs them back in the top flight.

Not all agree. Kevin Davies, who began his career in Sheffield United's academy, says he believes the Blades are a bigger club.

Responding to a tweet from BT presenter Jake Humphrey in reaction to Winter's piece, Davies made his feelings clear.

Davies earned one international cap for England during his playing career after starring for Bolton Wanderers in the top flight.

He retired in 2015 and has been working as a pundit and in coaching, managing non-league Southport last season.
