According to the Daily Star, Newcastle United are interested in signing Ryan Fraser and his pace could make Rafael Benitez’s side a major threat next season.

Fraser would be a costly signing for Newcastle, but there are hopes that Mike Ashley will loosen the pursestrings in the summer.

If the rapid wide-man was to arrive then Newcastle could have one of the fastest attacks in the Premier League.

Miguel Almiron has caught the eye since arriving at Newcastle in January, with his pace proving a huge asset.

Almiron may not have scored, but he has added a new dimension to Newcastle’s attacking play with his direct running.

With Fraser potentially playing down the other channel, Newcastle would become a nightmare for opposition full-backs to have to deal with.

And if Newcastle could somehow pull off a deal to bring Fraser to St. James’ Park then it would be a brilliant signing.
