Anyone who has scored more goals than Harry Kane in 2018/19 is worthy of attention. And, with just a few games remaining in the current campaign, Robert Skov is on track to comfortably outscore the England captain.
And it just so happens that the 22-year-old could be lining up alongside Kane when 2019/20 kicks off.
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the young Danish forward while Watford, West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are tracking him too. And with good reason.
In all competitions, Skov has hit the back of the net 27 times to put Copenhagen in contention to win the Superligaen title. That is three more than Spurs talisman Kane, the World Cup Golden Boot winner just last summer, netted before limping out of last week’s Champions League clash with Manchester City.
The fact that Skov has spent much of the season playing on the wing makes this even more impressive.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Copenhagen want just £5 million for their star man this summer – pocket change for clubs like Tottenham these days.
The ultimate test of Skov’s quality, however, is whether he can replicate these statistics on English shores.
