Newcastle United signing David Brooks would surely convince Rafael Benitez to stay

Newcastle United are said to be interested in the Bournemouth playmaker.

According to the Daily Star, Newcastle United want David Brooks from Bournemouth and his arrival would surely keep Rafael Benitez round.

Brooks has been in stunning form for Bournemouth this season and emerged as one of the most exciting youngsters in the Premier League, alerting Newcastle to him.

 

And if Brooks was to arrive at St. James’ Park then it would prove to Benitez once and for all that they have turned a corner.

Benitez is still deciding whether to pen a new contract with Newcastle, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.

The Spanish boss wants to be assured that Newcastle will show enough ambition in the transfer market to compete.

The arrival of Brooks would certainly show that Newcastle mean business, as he would bring poise and class to their midfield.

And although the signing looks highly unlikely right now, it would be the sort of deal which would surely convince Benitez that sticking with Newcastle is the right choice.
