At the start of the season, not many will have expected Tottenham Hotspur to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, but the North London outfit now have a great chance of progressing to the semi-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side won the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Manchester City 1-0 at White Hart Lane in London last week.
The second leg of the tie is at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on Wednesday evening, and Spurs will head into the encounter against Pep Guardiola’s City full of confidence and will fancy their chances of going through.
Tottenham manager Pochettino has responded to those comments from Ronaldinho, and he is pleased to hear them.
Pochettino told Football.London when asked about Ronaldinho’s comments: “He’s knows a lot about football. He was a great teammate in Paris Saint-Germain. It’s good that the people trust. It’s good for our players to hear that.”
Tottenham are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 67 points from 33 matches.
