Young Leeds United striker Ryan Edmondson scored again for the under-23s.

Leeds United youngster Ryan Edmondson took only five minutes to break the deadlock  in yesterday’s under-23 clash with Crystal Palace.

Edmondson’s goal took his tally to 18 for the season.

His strike helped Leeds secure a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park.

Edmondson, 17, has established himself as the under-23’s leading striker and has already made his first team debut.

He hasn’t however appeared for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in 2019, and fans feel he cannot be far off.

Unlike last week when there was only 24 hours between under-23 and first team games, this week there is a four day gap.

Leeds play on Friday against Wigan Athletic and Edmondson is putting himself in contention to make the squad.

A starting role is unlikely, but a place on the bench is a possibility.

This is something Leeds fans are keen to see, to reward the young striker for his outstanding form…
