The Glasgow Rangers winger is on loan from Ibrox to the Finnish side and will be hoping Steven Gerrard is keeping close tabs on him.
Glasgow Rangers winger Serge Atakayi has got off to a very bright start away from Ibrox on loan at Finnish first division side Seinajoen Jalkapallokerho (SJK).
A number of Gers fans hoped they had not seen the last of him, as per some of the comments after the Ibrox club announced the news.
Atakayi was named in SJK's starting XI as they got their season off to a good start with a 1-0 win over Helsinki's HIFK Fotboll on Saturday 6 April, in which he played 81 minutes (Transfermarkt).
The Finland Under-19 international then started the following game, the 2-1 triumph at Inter Turku, and completed 90 minutes, playing his role in Seinajoki's 100 percent start to the campaign.
At this early stage of the season, SJK sit second in the table (BBC Sport), with HJK Helsinki top of the standings but having played one game more and currently on seven points.
SJK last won the Finnish title in 2015 and have not won silverware since 2016 (Transfermarkt), but with the talented Atakayi in their ranks, it's a case of so far so good for the Seinajoki side.
According to Transfermarkt, Atakayi is contracted to Gers until May 2020.
