Bowler scored the winner against Brighton to give David Unsworth's young Toffees their second PL2 title win in three years.
The 20-year-old winger scored the only goal in the first half of the 1-0 triumph over Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday night, jinking inside before finishing well.
Everton's victory over the second-placed Seagulls has given David Unsworth's charges a six-point advantage at the top of the league table with just one match remaining.
“Josh is brilliant,” Feeney is quoted by the Everton website as saying. “We know what he is capable of, and he’s frightening with his left foot. He could have had a couple more goals – he’s that good. I’m made up for him.”
Feeney's comments very much echo those of Unsworth, who on Monday night had described Bowler's performance as the "best ever" that he had yielded for his side, and hopes it would be able to "catapult" him to the next level.
Bowler joined the Goodison Park outfit from Queens Park Rangers in July 2017, the Toffees believed to have paid around £1.5million up front with up to £2.5million in add-ons, according to Transfermarkt.
He is yet to make a first team appearance for Everton, but his performance - and its outcome - on Monday night would have done his chances of a breakthrough no harm, and it is likely to have been noticed by Marco Silva.
