Everton fans have called for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to be banned, if Andre Gomes is going to face retrospective action.

Everton midfielder Gomes was charged with violent conduct by the FA, after he appeared to stamp on Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic at the weekend.

Gomes could now face a three match ban, meaning he will miss most of Everton’s final fixtures this season.

There is an acceptance among Everton fans that Gomes’ challenge was aggressive enough to warrant punishment.

However, Toffees fans have been left baffled over why Liverpool’s Salah has not faced any charges of his own this campaign.

Salah has become Liverpool’s talisman over the past two seasons so losing him would be a huge blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side, if he ever was charged.

Salah is free to play for Liverpool for the remainder of the run-in though, as the Reds look to win the Premier League title for the first time in their history.
