Ally McCoist slams Rangers' Joe Worrall after Celtic comment

Rangers manager Ally McCoist looks on during the Scottish Championship Opening League Match between Rangers and Hearts, at Ibrox Stadium on August 10, 2014 Glasgow, Scotland.

Joe Worrall of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers cursed out Celtic earlier this month.

Ally McCoist has labelled Rangers centre-back Joe Worrall 'stupid' for saying what he did about Celtic.

A viral video of Worrall saying 'f*** Celtic' surfaced online earlier this month.

It came after Rangers' end-of-season awards ceremony nine days ago.

The Gers defender has caught a bit of flak over it - not least from Ibrox legend McCoist, who claimed that iPhones and similar devices are the 'worst invention known to man'.

“How stupid is that?," he told The Scottish Sun. “The camera phone is without doubt the worst invention known to man.

"Alexander Graham Bell must be spinning in his grave.”

The Record reported earlier this month that Worrall - on loan from Nottingham Forest - would not be sanctioned by the Scottish Football Association for the incident, which came a week after losing to Celtic at Parkhead.

Steven Gerrard's side are 11 points behind the Hoops in the Scottish Premiership table, and resume their season this Saturday with a trip to Hearts.

The Ibrox outfit had no game this past weekend due to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup taking place.
